New weekend festival announced for Eccles town centre
A new weekend festival, Get In! to Eccles, arrives on 28-29 March 2026, bringing live performances, installations, markets and family activities to the town centre.
The festival celebrates creativity in Eccles while supporting the town’s long‑term regeneration and marking Salford’s centenary year.

A new weekend festival is coming to Eccles town centre on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March 2026.
Get In! To Eccles will bring live performances, installations, markets and family-friendly activities to streets and venues across the town. Most events across the weekend will be free, making it easy for people to drop in and spend time in the town centre.
The festival is being delivered by From the Other, Salford City Council and Muse, the strategic regeneration partner for Eccles town centre, coming together to showcase Eccles as a place for creativity, culture and fresh ideas, while honouring its rich history.
Councillor Mike McCusker, Lead Member for Planning, Transport and Sustainable Development at Salford City Council, said: “Get In! to Eccles is a fantastic opportunity for people to rediscover the town centre and experience some of the spaces that make it such a distinctive part of Salford.
We know people want a town centre that feels welcoming and vibrant, with more reasons to visit, spend time and connect with others, and this festival has been developed with those ambitions in mind, bringing activity and creativity right into the heart of Eccles.
The festival comes at a time when work is underway to support the long term regeneration of Eccles town centre, and it offers families, friends and visitors a great opportunity to come together and play a part in shaping the town’s future.”
Councillor Robinson-Smith, Lead Member for Culture, Heritage, Equalities, Sports and Leisure at Salford City Council, said: “Get In! to Eccles is about creating a weekend that feels open, welcoming and enjoyable, with lots of different ways for people to take part and spend time in the town centre.
“As part of Salford’s centenary year, the festival is one of many events taking place across the city in 2026, giving residents and visitors more opportunities to come together, try something new and celebrate the places that matter to them.
“With free events across the weekend and activities for all ages, it’s a great chance to experience Eccles, support local venues and enjoy a lively programme right on the doorstep.”
